5 weeks +1!!!

time flies!
i ve been eating pretty much everything! my mouth still cant open that wide but im guessing maybe thats how it will be ...my mouth (the inside) is so much smaller!
Im supposed to go see the dr. next week but i will be off for a mini vacation so i have an appt july20th...started working out slowly but surely and ihave the energy to run 2 miles!
left side of chin and lip still numb the face is still swolen some days more than others..but im loving getting my energy back! i finally started on the iron supplements and they help a lot!

I have been the laziest person in the world lately and complety forgot about blogging and the fact that it has been a month since surgery!!!!!!! yay.
The sweling has gone down (obvi more to go), and i feel the left side of my face!!! my mouth is kind of numb and i feel tingling on the left side of my lip/chin but still no feeling =(
eating wise-i had pizza!!!!- its ok...i think i did to much to fast and got sick last night. I have been eating more or less reg food no meats or anything but potatoes,rice and pasta (although this is kind of annoying) lol
I m going to exercise today. Haven't gained much weight back i think. ill prob see..
I owe you guys pics they are coming later. promise i hope you guys are doing welll!
and for those still in the first week, believe me it gets better although its hard to believe im actually (after regretin this several times) thinking that was a great decision!

Sooo yesterday was the 3 week mark!
I am unwired!!!! and i ate rice and mashed potatoes and crab legs and pancakes lol (im fast)
with these foods i mostly swallowed barely chewing but heyyy whatever works.
saw the orthodontist too and he removed the surgical wires and put 2 elastics...they are are not too bad but i was hoping to not have anything..clearly my teeth are not perfect quite yet.
opening my mouth hurts a lot and its hard to fit a spoon or fork but im practicing...now the swelling has gone down but its weird im hoping there is more to go because i really do not like the way i look now..I should see the surgeon in 3 weeks im really hoping that my face is still swolen...
Im flying home tomorow and will soon exercise so that i dont gain the weight back ;)
anywho im glad everything is going well post pictures soon!

im actually experiencing in the numb area...thats prob a good sign? the weird faces have stoped but the swelling is still there :(
i scheduled my surgeon appt right before the ortho appointment...if that have to remove the bands and im still sored..thats prob not a good idea i just realized i might have to drink a bottle of ibuprofen (eek) lol.
other than that...im kind of nervous about the weirght gain that will follow...i lost approx 20 lbs..i would like to gain like 5-6 lbs more but thats it ! we will see how that goes

Sorry I have been kind of lazy about posting i actually went back home to my parents house until the next dr. appt June 10th...
couple of interesting things:
1- my mouth makes all these weird faces (smiles etc..) beyond my control its kind of crazy and annoying i hope these are the nerves trying to be ctive again
2-I am still swollen...why!!?!!
3- So...i hve pics in my cam.. can't really upload them my room is a mess and cant find the cable but i will edit this post with pics soon
4-my surgical wire broke... before the flgth home...needless to say my lip was mutilated got some wax..
5- CANT WAIT TO GET A CLEANING Lol

ill update sooon!!! but 2 weeks wow!!! Im getting more used to the new mouth tho and my weigth loss hs slowed down...i think havent weighted myself...momy has been making great blended food for me...
also to add on the list of food i can't wait to eat

Soooo I guess as the pain is lessening the less I will be writing..
The left side of my face still has the weird tingling but its slowly going away now its less on my undereye area and more on my nose and on my lip. I have also been twitching on my left side of my lip ( you can actually see the lip move :() ...do you guys think its normal? i hope this doesnt last because its kind of annoying
Had some headaches today i think i should spend more time outside ...maybe ill go for a long walk tomorow since i havent exercise in a while and i feel way to weak to start running again
Im doing a lot better the bf went and got fruits and we made a yummy smoothie!!! it was a nice day overalll I think i have been overdoing on the sweet tea lol i had one ensure today and tried the v8 tomatoe soup BAD mistake tastes good but kept on getting stuck inside my (wired) jaw...
i think thats all for now....had a great nigth of sleep last night and i hope tonight is the same...enough talking(writting) pics...

7 days post op!!

Well actually at this time...I was still being operated on.
Dr. appt went fine took some x-rays and put elastics in the front teeth while the rest is still wired.
I barely feel numb anywhere but under my left eye and left part of my chin..oh well.
Having trouble sleeping again , but at least i can lay on my side now which is one step closer to being allowed to sleep face down as I usually sleep. oh and great news: i can stop with the antibiotics now!!!!!!
i now lost 12lbs so thats a total of -6 from the 6 lbs i put on for the surgery... i dont feel particularly skinny i feel kind of soft i like my body more toned. I cant wait to exercise soon!

I tried to show how my teeth touch but its still hard for me to open wide obviousely. Dont worry my teeth are clean
Also decided ( a bit late) to start taking profile pics (I actually think i have some in my bf's camera I'll try to post that later). The dr. said this where most of the difference will be seen... still a bit too swollen for me you can see the marks where the screws were put in...


sooo.....today i had my first full night!!! (12-630am) I went back to sleep until 1030 but still i usually wake up for like an hour and do not know what do do with myself
Also, I had ensure for breakfast -im actually drinking it now- and it looks like its staying down!!!
Im going to attempt going to a movie later this afternoon, depending on how courageous i feel to show my face outside
Im starting a list of things i m looking forward to eat ( i know perhaps not the best thing to do so early but i do not want to forget):
1- lasagna
2-subway sandwish (believe it or not)
3-mcdonalds fries
4-shawarma
5-tostitos
6-poundcake lol

thats all i can think of now lol
Also weird is that i can actually move my jaw a bit and hear them touch at random spots
its the weirdest thing and its almost scary i hope this is normal. I ll talk to the Dr. about it tomorow. I actually dont mind being wired longer...weirdly enough

my lips touch themselves all the time and although i dont have full control of them yet i have noticed a lot less drooling! I aslo havent taken any pain meds for a while it feels like but i feel good. I move my lips and make silly faces to sort of exercise them. I would like to be unwired to clean the inside of my teeth tho its kind of gross but i do gargle and all that fun stuff.

So...woke up twice in the middle of the night with the urge to throw up. My head was spinning so much i could barely stand up, Thank god for the Dr. medicine it made it go away :) (and made me pass out like a baby for a long time). Taking my antibiotics today is going to be the mission, as nausea has come back to hunt me: im supposed to take the liquid bublegum (or whatever the pink flavoring is) 4 times a day on an empty stomach. and this is nearly impossible as when i take it on empty stomach nausea comes back and the antibiotic is gone to waste ...so i try to take it in between my sips arg I CANT WAIT TO EAT REAL FOOD AGAIN.
I lost 7 lbs in 2 days . I thougth this would be great but im soooo weak and my face is sooooo big that i just dont care Id rather be obese and not deal with a wired jaw.
Another thing that bothers me: yawning is a mission, my mouth wants to open really wide but i cant so it hurts/feels weird a lot.
I think this is the last layer of skin that is peeling of my lips and i feel as if i have more control over them (they actually touch!) but im still very swollen . i think my right side is less swollen that my left side but both are still very swollen. another weird thing i wake up everymorning with an extremely shiny face even thought i clean it everynight im guessing it comes from the swelling stuff.
I dont know what im going to do with all the ensure/boost because i dont think ill be able to drink this one day again ill give it another try tonight but ugh i just do not want to puke again.

I have an appointment on wed to see how everything is going im hopping the swelling will have gone down but according to most blog it really starts to go down around the 10th day...i guess im halfway there. I also havent taken any pain meds, i mean it hurts but the nausea is not worth it. I wish i could swallow pills again. I really wana try to exercise but i know thats a disaster waiting to happen I also cannot wait to brush my teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think thats all for now im going to go try to rinse my mouth and take nap...see ya!

Woke up feeling a bit better this morning
this week has been HELL i can't beleive there is a way to see the positive side of all this, half of my face is still numb, swollen- i look like a monster.
My jaw is wired : i cant eat anything my stomach is uspet, i have been throwing up and nausea is my bfff, but my dr. gave me something to deal with that that works pretty well..
I just want the swelling to go awayyy!!!!!!

Right after the surgery...a bit graphic i know but yea thats after 9hrs (longer than expected) I was kind of aware of what was going on and i was i horrible pain..
